the sick cycle carousel begins
school has started..
daes of relentless studying, trying to listen during lectures, wondering who to have lunch with, cramming/photocopying tutorials and notes, trying to stave off panic and impending doom...relaxing at nite in hostel....midnite suppers....sleep, and repeat ad nauseum.
on another note...there is a rather good medical show on TV now...Gray's Anatomy. the cast is a good mix, the characters are interestingly eccentric, and the content highly watchable. in a word, the show is just...real... im sure all med students will see a little bit of ourselves in all the pple portrayed there...the need to fill/fit into the shoes of your parents/siblings, the need to prove oneself to yourself and others, to excel, the insecurity and inadequacy felt sometimes, a touch of arrogance (c'mon dun deny it lah)....and most often..just bone-dry weariness, feeling as if your life blood has been sucked out of you by seniors and patients.
but i still like the show heh.
when they talk about the causes of oedema i can list them too
when they talk abt using digoxin in heart attack patients i remember the mechanism
when they mention a patient presenting mild colic diverticulosis i know what it is!
but when they talk abt love, i dun know what tt is....
